Sarah Jean Smith-Mills, 59, of Port Saint Lucie, FL passed away on Sunday February 14, 2016 at Traditional Medical Center, Saint Lucie West, FL.

She was born on April 12, 1956 in Wilson, NC and has been a resident of Saint Lucie County for twelve years. Sarah was employed in the education business as an executive secretary.

She was a member of Greater Faith 13th Street Church of God, Inc., where she served faithfully as Sunday School Teacher, Youth Ministry, Women’s Ministry and Vacation Bible School.

Sarah served several organizations such as a Restoration House Volunteer, Save Our Children, Family Historian, Susan G. Komen Foundation and on the Martin Luther King Parade Committee.

Survivors include her husband, Mack Mills of Port Saint Lucie, FL; sons, Corey Mills, Brian Mills; daughters, Jeanette Mills, Minouche Jean; mother, Betty Jean Smith-Winstead; brothers, Johnny (Pat) Barnes, Frederick Barnes, Robert (Yolanda) Winstead, Charlie (Pat) Winstead; sisters, Deborah Winstead-Smith (Rudolph), Earlene Moore.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ollie Winstead.

Visitation will be held 3 to 7PM Friday February 19, 2016 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11AM at Greater Faith 13th Street Church of God, Inc, 1902 North 13th Street, Fort Pierce, FL. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park, Fort Pierce.
