Bob E. Redding was born November 24, 1943 in Gary, Indiana to his proud parents Annie Laura and Wilmon Redding. Bob attended Gary schools and graduate from Roosevelt High School, Gary, Indiana. He received his undergraduate degree in Library Science from Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. Mr. Redding also worked at Westside High School as the audio visual coordinator, coach, auditorium manager, dean of students, and an acting assistant principal. Later he was promoted to Principal at Edison School, Pulaski Middle School and Westside High School. He leaves to cherish his memories and love of his devoted and understanding wife of 18-years of marriage, Dr. Elder Della Spurlock-Redding, step-daughters, Crystal F. Beeks, Dorothy A., Artelia L. and Gaynela R. Spurlock; step-sons, Donald R. Watson and Clarence E. Spurlock; sisters Naomi Braziel, and Tassie Winn; brother Leonard Redding, three sisters-inlaw Billie Jean Rambo, Sarah Zeno, and Dollie Bodly; three brothers-in-law Henry Watson, Clemmie Watson, and James Bodly; other in laws include; three aunts, one uncles, a host which include: Step-Grand and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers. Visitation Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 9 to 1:00pm with funeral services immediately following at 1:00pm all services at the First AME Church, 2045 Mass. St., Reverend Virgil Woods Pastor and Reverend Norman Hairston officiating. Interment Fern Oaks Cemetery.
