Andrew C. Rogers, 82, of Plymouth, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Andrew was born on October 24, 1933, in Cascade, son of Ardell and Katherine (Vanderploeg) Rogers. He was a 1952 graduate of Plymouth High School. On August 10, 1957, he married Joanne Pfrang at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Joanne passed away on October 5, 2012. Andrew was drafted in to the US Army in 1956, and stationed in Fort Leonard Wood, in Missouri until 1958. He was employed with Cleveland Container, Kohler Company, Plymouth High School, and then retired with Borden's Cheese Factory in 1996, after 33 years as a forklift operator.Andrew was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth, where he was a member of the men's dartball league. He was a member of the Plymouth Jaycees, the Monday night men's golf league at Crystal Lake, and the Friday night bowling league at Casey's in Plymouth. He managed the Plymouth City baseball team for several years. Andrew enjoyed fishing, hunting, painting, bowling, and golfing.Andrew is survived by his three daughters, Cindy (Robert) Hemauer of Plymouth, Wendy (Stan) Lammers of Oostburg, and Vicki Cain of Plymouth; his son, Charles (Michelle) Rogers of Plymouth; nine grandchildren, Heather (friend Dylan Boden) and Sabrina Lammers, Rebecca (Adam) Truttschel, Brooks (Shannon) Hemauer, Chris Hemauer, Elliot (friend Sarah Potts) and Anthony Cain, and Cole and Clayton Rogers; five great-grandchildren, Ava, Lilly, and Zoey Truttschel, and Colin and Ian Hemauer. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friend, Gladys Medved.Andrew was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Joanne; his parents, and his sister, Mary.Funeral services to celebrate Andrew's life will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth with Rev. John Schultz officiating. Burial will take place at Greenbush Cemetery.
