Lena had several jobs over her lifetime, including working for Goodwill, Babcock and Wilcox, and United Disability Services. Her favorite job was taking care of her home and raising her family. She was a strong willed lady who was known as “Ma” to all her sons’ friends.
She loved collecting knick knacks.
She will be deeply missed by her sons, Randy (Niki Ryan) Lewis and Kenny (Debbie) Lewis; sisters, Shirley Guy and Peggy Davenport; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Nikki Lewis, Chelsea Lewis, Chasity (Grant) Webel, Kenny Lewis, Jr., and Shawn (Justina) Gonzalez; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Asher, Bridgette, Austin, and Haley.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Lena A. Lewis will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Monday, February 22, 2016 in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastor Brian Cable and Pastor Charles Cable, officiating. Music will be provided by Greta Odom.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Monday.
The graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in the Whitehead Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:50 AM on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the March of Dimes, 2700 S. Roan Street, Johnson City, TN 37601.
