She was born in the Sandy Bay section of Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late Charlie M. Cook and Exie McCutcheon Cook.
She was the widow of Maxie K. Brazen Sr., who died Dec. 20.
Before moving to Myrtle Beach, she was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Florence. She was a self-educated Bible scholar and Sunday school teacher. She was an accomplished servant of the Lord, her church and her family.
She was predeceased by a brother, Charles M. Cook; two sisters, Vera C. Diggs and Dora Lou C. Hobbs; and two grandchildren, Charlie ``Chuck'' Bazen Jr. and an infant, Russell Lee Bazen .
