Jody Stephen Collins passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the age of 56. He was the cherished husband of Connie Luc Collins for 18 years. Loving father of Mindy Collins Serpas (Frank), William Lara Diaz (Crystal), Brandi Lynn Diaz and Amy Lynn Diaz (Sean). Proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents Jeanne Badaeux Collins and John Collins Sr.; brother Jay Collins and his grandson Frank Erle Serpas III.
Jody was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. He worked for Charlie’s On Site Service, Meyers Warehouse and most recently Progressive Waste Solutions. Jody will be forever remembered as a dedicated and hard worker who loved to fish and enjoy life to the fullest.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will be private.
