Carol Ann Beesley Moon, 57, adored sweetheart, mother, sister, and friend, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, from com-plications follow-ing surgery. Carol was born Feb. 16, 1944 to Hor-ace Pratt Beesley and Mary Rosslyn Brazier, of Bountiful, UT. She loved music, the arts and discovering the world around her. She learned to play the piano and violin and was a classical ballet dancer. She graduated from Bountiful High School and Summa cum Laude from the University of Utah in Music.

Carol married her sweetheart, Brent Moon, of Farmington, on August 26, 1964. She was the love of his life. Throughout their 37 years together she was a gentle and refining spirit, and their love is deep and strong. They have eight children and five grandchildren.

Carol's life-work and true joy were her children. She taught her children to love each other and their fellow men, and to love music, learning and nature. She also shared with them her love for our Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. They learned volumes from her patience, selflessness, sacrifices and grace. She had too few years with her dear grandchildren, but they knew her love for them, and felt her joy in their presence. Her lasting legacy, her children and grandchildren, truly "shall arise up, and call her blessed."

Carol was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. She possesses a deep testimony and love for her Savior, and reflected His loving and selfless example throughout her life. Carol was an active member of her community and loved her country. She never missed an opportunity to vote, give blood or share her resources with those in need. She was a kind and thoughtful neighbor and friend. She loved Bountiful and enjoyed growing up and raising her family here. Carol had a great respect for her ancestors and her heritage. She was a member and officer of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Carol loves her extended family. A devoted daughter, she tenderly cared for her aging parents for many years. All who knew her will remember her patient and loving ways, her curiosity and love of learning, her beautiful spirit, positive outlook and endless encouragement. She forgot herself in everything, always thinking of others first.

Carol is survived by her husband; her children, Robert (Michele), Kathleen (Brett) Bailey, Kevin (Angela), Kari (Nate) Brown, Nathan, Shaun (Amy), Tricia (Bryan) Molen, and Jared; her grandchildren Abigail, Garrett, Ian, Samuel, and Kate; her siblings Marilyn (Glenn) Goodrich, Sherry (Verlan) Terry, Brent (Bonnie Jean) Beesley, and brother-in-law, Jay Hartvigsen. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Janice Hartvigsen.
