James Levi Luker, age 90, died Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at his home. James was born on January 18, 1925 in McAlester to Earl and Dorothy Luker, the first of six children. Levi joined the Marine Corp after high school where he was stationed in Japan and Hawaii. He was later married to Mary Jean Richardson from Ashland for forty-four years. They lived in Tulsa most of their married life and had two children. Levi was definitely a people person and worked in sales his whole life. He was also big into cutting horses. After he retired he moved back down to Shady Valley until his death on February 16, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents; two younger brothers, E.J. Luker and Guy Luker. Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Brother Bruce Brannon officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
