Mr. Smith, who was 72, was associated with the law offices of his brother, Walter George Smith. He was the author of a history of the State of Pennsylvania. Surviving are a sister, Miss Helen Grace Smith, and a niece, Mrs. F. M. Eshleman, of Milton, Mass. Burial will be private. --
