Rosemary “Pat” (Lee) Payne, 86 of Winfield Park N.J., passed away on Sunday February 14, 2016.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral from the Werson Funeral Home, 635 North Wood Avenue in Linden on Friday February 19, 216 at 9:45 am. A funeral mass will be held at St. John the Apostle R.C. Church Clark/Linden at 10:30 am. Interment will be at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm.

Pat was born in Elizabeth, N.J., lived in Winfield Park the past 62 years. She was employed by the ARC of Union County as its Transportation Director for 15 years, retiring in 1999. Prior Pat worked at Kohler Child Development Center in Winfield Park for 20 years. She was a communicant of St. John the Apostle R.C. Church and was Eucharistic Minister, Choir Member, and a member of its Rosary Society. Also Pat was a Girl Scout leader at St. John the Apostle for 10 years and was a consultant for 5 years for Washington Rock Girl Scout Council. She was an avid bowler for women’s leagues, member of Winfield Senior Citizens and its treasurer, served with Winfield PAL and was a Winfield Softball Coach, served on Winfield Park Jr. Council, member of Special Olympics and a member of St. John the Apostle Social Concerns.

Pat was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Raymond J. Payne, Sr. on May 22, 2010, and her son Raymond J. Payne, Jr. in June 2007. She is survived by; a daughter Debra Marie Daly, a son Timothy V. Payne and his wife Mary, 6 granddaughters; Jessica Daly-Burisch and her husband Victor, Kristin Daly Gatlin and her husband Glenn, Sarah Moyes and her husband Greg, Katie, Ashley and Taylor Payne; one grandson Timothy Payne, Jr. and two great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations to ARC of Union County, 70 Diamond Road, Springfield, N.J. 07081, or to the N.J. Veterans Home, 132 Evergreen Road, Edison, N.J. 08837, in her memory would be greatly appreciated.
