Charles was born in Putnam County and in 1940 he and his father were living with Benton and Mettie Marlow (Charles’ grandparents) on their farm. Living at home at the time were Charles’ aunt Jewell and his uncles Willard and Hilary (Bill).

When he was 18 he enlisted in the Air Force and served for 20 years until 1974. He was a resident of Hawkinsville, GA, an Independent Insurance agent, and a member of Warren Robbins Church of Christ. While he spent time in Tennessee attending to his father needs, he attended the Colonial Heights Church of Christ in Cookeville.

He always had a Bible nearby. His faith was an important part of his life.

He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Dorothy Marlow; step-sister, Barbara Sullins; and grandparents, Benton and Mettie Marlow.

Service was held at the Chapel of Baxter Funeral Home.
