Son of Anna Jane Harris & George Thomas (1842- ?), both of Pembrokeshire, Wales, David was the oldest child of the couple who married in 1871 in Haverfordwest. They had another child, John Francis, in Wales before bringing their infant sons to the US, settling in the heavily Welsh community near Big Rock, Illinois. Here they added four more boys (Joel G (m. Milly/Amy unknown), William M, James G (m. Edna unknown) & Venus Boyce (m. Eliza Lawrence) as well as four girls (Jane M (John O) Willis, Eva (Ralph) Boyce, Maud (Fred) Willis & Elma). David's father & most of his siblings are buried in Big Rock but are not currently on Find a Grave.
