Margarita was the daughter of Juan [John Coffin] Jones y Champlin (bap. Apr. 21, 1838, adult, born Boston [BP Baptism 01263]) and Manuela Antonia Carrillo y Castro (BP Baptism 00566). Her parents were married at the Santa Barbara Presidio Chapel June 4, 1838 (BP Marriage 00216). Margarita accompanied her parents to Boston, Massachusetts, late in 1846, where she assumed the name Marguerita Champlin Clark. She married Robert F. Clark (born May 1838, MA) at West Roxbury, Massachusetts, on June 21, 1865. Robert was the son of Benjamin C. Clark and Mary P., both born in Massachusetts. Marguerita and Robert were residents at Canton, Massachusetts, in 1880 (1880 US Census). Marguerita was living with her husband at Boston in 1900 (1900 US Census). Marguerita died at Nahant, Massachusetts on June 23, 1904, and was buried in the Newton Cemetery, Newton, Massachusetts, on June 25, 1904.
