Marian W. "Min" Wheeler of Stoneboro, Worth Township, passed away peacefully of natural causes at home, with her family by her side at 9:55 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016. She was 87. Born, Sept. 6, 1928, in Raymilton, Venango County, she was a daughter of Albert J. and Goldie W. Beach Shingledecker Sr.

She attended the Heister country school in Mineral Township, was a lifelong homemaker, loved taking care of her family, fishing and riding motorcycles, enjoyed playing bingo and playing games with her family, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She had previously been a member of the Center United Methodist Church, Polk.

Her husband of over 70 years, William Lewis "Lewie" Wheeler, whom she married June 25, 1945, survives at home, with three sons, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, a sister, and two brothers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son; three sisters, Esther DeLong, Margaret Wheeler, and Priscilla "Hun" McCool; and a brother, Cecil Shingledecker.

Services will be held at the Scott A. Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro, with the Rev. Scott A. Woodlee, pastor of Franklin Alliance Church, Franklin, officiating. Interment will be at Center Cemetery, Mineral Township.
