Georgia was first and foremost a devoted wife and mother who spent her life caring deeply for those she loved. She was a best friend to her brother and sister-in-law and a loving daughter-in-law. Georgia always went the extra mile to make life special for her family; she never missed a chance to give a reassuring hug or an I-love-you smile.
Although she made each Christmas a special time, her family's favorite memory is the Christmas she bought her son, Daniel, his first bike and taught him how to ride.
She kept an inviting home that was the hub of her family's life. She was a "neighborhood mother" who loved cooking for her family and her son's friends. According to them, she made the "best" mac & cheese of all the moms.
She took great joy in simple pleasures with her loving husband Paul. She loved to: watch the ducks at nearby Ft. Lowell Park ponds; take long sunset walks with Pepi, the family dog; see her son and his friends perfect acrobatics on the backyard trampoline, listen to soft rock on her two favorite radios stations; and, decorate for each and every holiday.
For Georgia, family came first; her husband and son were the focus of her life. She was strong and resilient through life's challenges. No matter the situation, she always saw the best in her family and friends. Georgia had an enormous heart, believed in the "golden rule" and was a role model to all. She brought beauty to the lives of all who came to know her.
She passed away peacefully on February 12, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Good-bye Georgia you will be deeply missed.
Georgia is survived by her son, Daniel Simmons; her brother, Robert Fullerton; her sister-in-law, Linda Eager; and her brother-in-law, Donald Eager.
Funeral service will be on Friday, February 19 at 11:30 AM, at East Lawn Palms Mortuary & Cemetery.
