MANTORVILLE -- The funeral for Timothy G. Fate Sr. will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kasson, with the Rev. Jerry Platz officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery in Wasioja.
Mr. Fate, 50, of Mantorville, died Saturday (Sept. 24, 2005) at his home.
Born Sept. 25, 1954, in Owatonna, he grew up in Dodge Center and graduated from high school there in 1972. On Dec. 7, 1985, he married Dawn M. Anderson in Stewartville, and they lived in Mantorville. He was a welder at Gary's Welding in Dodge Center, worked on the pipeline at one time, and enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, camping, canoeing, NASCAR and pink flamingos.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Timothy G. Jr. of Mantorville; two daughters, Danielle Rae Fate of Byron and Kaci L. Fate of Mantorville; a stepson, Jeremy A. Banks of Wasioja; a stepdaughter, Jaime M. Banks of Mantorville; 11 grandchildren; his mother, Karen Fate of Wadena, Minn.; a brother, Glenn (Barb) of Claremont; and three sisters, Debra (Chuck) Pfilsticker of Wabasha, Julie (Roger) Barry of Texas and Jill (Tom) Schroeder of Forest City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the church and an hour before the service Friday at the church.
Memorials are preferred to the family.
