A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Virgie Lou Peeler, 82, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating.

Burial will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Funeral home visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday; and 8:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel.

Mrs. Peeler died at 10:40 p.m., Sunday, February 14, 2016 in the Jeff Davis Living Center.

Mrs. Peeler was a lifelong resident of Jennings and was a homemaker. She loved to garden, crocheting, going to the casino and spending time with her family and great grandbabies.

Survivors include one son David Peeler and wife Bridget of Jennings; two sisters, Alice Benoit Roy and Mary Alice Benoit both of Jennings; grandchild, Ashley Morgan and husband Alan of Welsh; great-grandchildren, Will Arceneaux, and Ava and Zachary Morgan; two nephews, Yancy and Richard Roy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Elgie Duhon Benoit and her husband, William Peeler.
