Mr. Jessie L. Richardson, Jr., age 49, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016. He was born in Atmore, Ala., to Jessie and Evelyn Richardson. He was a 1986 graduate of Escambia County High School. He attended Jefferson Davis Community College. He attained supervisory and managerial levels of employment in the areas of communications/technology and retail sales. He loved to read and write poetry. He had a special love for Southern Gospel music.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Deacon Herman (Amy) Wesley and Floyd Richardson, Sr.

Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife, Beverly Richardson; daughter, Beverly Renee (Scottie) Hall; son, Joshua, Dewan Richardson; granddaughter, Shamaia Sharai Hall; parents, Evangelist Jessie and Evelyn Richardson; brother, Anthony Richardson; three sisters, Sandra Richardson of Hinesville, Ga., Gwendolyn (Eric) Brown of Birmingham, Ala. and Valerie (Anthony) Riley; grandmother, Leanna Richardson of Pensacola, Fla.; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers and flower bearers were family and friends and the Escambia County High School Class of 1986.
Christian Memorial Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
