Obituary - Mrs. Ruth Woolley Hatch, 77, widow of Abram Hatch, for many years a resident and prominent L. D. S. churchman of Heber City, died at her residence in Salt Lake City Monday at 10 p. m. of a cerebral hemorrhage.

Mrs. Hatch was born July 28, 1857, in an old log cabin located where the L. D. S. administration building now stands, a daughter of Bishop Edwin D. and Ann Alpin Woolley, and was educated in Salt Lake City schools during pioneer days.

She was married to Abram Hatch, former president of the Wasatch L. D. S. stake, in the old Salt Lake endowment house April 26, 1881.

An active church worker, Mrs. Hatch was widely known throughout the state. Surviving are two sons, Edwin D. Hatch, Salt Lake attorney; Vermont Hatch, New York City; two daughters, Mrs. Don E. Ray, Mrs. Kenneth W. Browning, Salt Lake City; two brothers, Orson A. Woolley, McGrath, Alta., Canada; George E. Woolley of the United States land office in Salt Lake City; two sisters, Mrs. Amelia W. Wardrop and Mrs. Fanny Parkinson, Salt Lake City.
