Dr. George N. Ennett who was born at Golden Place (near Folkstone) in Onslow County on December 20, 1838.
Graduated in Medicine at the University of Medicine of New York on February 25, 1860. Married Lucretia Borden on February 26, 1868. Initiated into LaFayette Lodge 83, Jacksonville, NC about the year 1865 and afterward affiliated with Ocean Lodge 405 in Morehead City and became a Charter Member and the First Master of Seaside Lodge 429, Swansboro, NC on November 2, 1889.
He died at his residence in Carteret County on August 4, 1897. He was a Senior Deacon at the time of his death.
