Philip Edward Cole passed away of natural causes in Muncie, IN on Monday, Feb.15, 2016. He was surrounded by family when he passed at the age of 73. Phil was born on Halloween Day in 1942, the son of Ralph Campbell Cole and Mary Regina (Hickner) Cole. He was the middle child among seven siblings (Ronald Leo Cole, David John Cole (deceased), Deanne Marie Tragesser, Mary Lynn Swift, Donald Joseph Cole, and June Carol Dunaway (deceased)).
Phil was married twice--first to Marqueena Kiefer (7/26/1968) and later to Constance Baker (10/30/1986). He is survived by Andrea Lorraine Wylie (daughter), Benjamin Matthew Cole (son) and three grandchildren (Shawn Lindsey Jr., Rebecca Lindsey and Donovan Lindsey), and many first cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Phil was foremost an educator. He held two Masters degrees from Ball State University and later served as principal of Red Corner School in Elwood, IN. He enjoyed bow hunting and could often be seen working on his pickup truck. He was a frequent parishioner at St. Joseph's Church and was a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus.

Viewing will be held at Dunnichay Funeral Home Feb. 19, 2016, funeral service St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Elwood. Phil will be buried beside his mother in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Elwood.
