Calvin C. Ferguson, 79, of Martinsville, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2003 in his home.

Mr. Ferguson was born on October 7, 1923 in Deora, Colorado, the son of the late Ernest Ferguson and the late Otha Seaton.

Calvin was a retired independent truck driver, a Purple Heart U. S. Army Veteran of World War II, a member of Martinsville American Legion Post #515 and a member of the Calvary Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Toledo, Illinois.

Surviving are his wife, Wilma Ferguson; and three sons, Steven Warner, of Martinsville, Jeffrey Warner of Herrin, Illinois, and Tony Ferguson of Morris, Illinois, two daughters, Lori Snearley of Martinsville, and Melissa Lawrence of Martinsville, one brother, Alvis Ferguson of Albuquerque, New Mexico, three sisters, Dr. Doris Herman and Zella Hammond, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Mary Corner of Martinsville, 11 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Services were held at Greenwell Funeral Home in Martinsville on Saturday, August 23, 2003 with Rev. Jack Jenkins, officiating. Burial was in the Blue Grass Cemetery, rural Martinsville with Military Graveside Rites by Martinsville American Legion Post $515.
