Terry Wayne Chapman, 60, of Columbia, Tennessee died Saturday, February 13, 2016 at his residence on Hayes Denton Road.
Burial in the Hudgins Cemetery in the Fairview Community.
The Maury County native was the son of Bessie Christine Haskins Chapman of Columbia and the late Houston Grady Chapman. He was reared in Maury County and Homestead, Florida. He loved the beach and ocean and for a short while had lived on Padre Island.
A welder by trade, he was employed by J. T. Welding and a former employee of Southeastern Refractory. A kind and compassionate person, Terry was always looking for ways to help a friend in need. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family. He attended Church of Peace.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Jeremy Chapman of Columbia; sisters, Patricia Chapman (Ron) Gick of Columbia; Deborah Chapman Varner of Culleoka; Kathy Chapman (Tommy) Smith of Santa Fe; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Vicki Bradley of Columbia; special aunt and uncle, Sarah Alice & Gary Redding of Culleoka. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
