He attended the Eaton Rapids Public Schools and graduated in 1988. Despite his limitations, Eric had many talents such as drawing, bike riding – definitely anything Harley-Davidson, an avid WWF wrestling fan, music and books/magazines, unique T-shirts, etc. just to name a few. He was also more than willing to take a shot at driving cars, golf carts, motor and paddle boats, which always resulted in some kind of comical adventure.
He is survived by his mother, Sharen Pettit; father, Deforest Pierce; step-father, Lawrence Schneider; brother, Jason (Holly) Pierce of Eaton Rapids, Christopher (Shannon) Pierce of Rives Junction, Bradley (Jessie) Pierce of Pittsburg, PA; and grandfather, Harry (Gramps) Tracy of Eaton Rapids. Eric also has dozens of supportive aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. There are way too numerous to mention without missing someone.
He was preceded in death by various family members, however, he especially missed his loving grandmothers, Sarah Tracy and Violet Evans.
Service was February 20, 2016 at Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids chapel with a memorial service. Internment took place later in the spring at Rosehill Cemetery in Eaton Rapids.
For those desiring memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, or Sparrow Hospital Critical Care/Comfort Care in memory of Eric Pierce.
