Minnie Lou “Teedee” Rhodes, 97, of Iuka, passed away on Saturday, February 13th, 2016.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 15th at Ludlam Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with Bro. Jimmy Daniel officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. Ludlam Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
“Teedee” will long be remembered for her many years in the restaurant business in Iuka. She was an outstanding cook, starting many years ago at the old Sands Restaurant in Iuka, later at the Pine Slab in downtown and many others. She served good home-cooked food, a sweet smile and usually some good advice with a little humor.
Survivors include her son Dickie Lamar Rhodes of Florence, AL; daughter, Wanda Ann Bishop of Iuka; grandchildren, Heather Bishop Mayo and husband, Paul, Shyloh Leigh Rhodes Stringer and husband, Sean and Sophie Lane Rhodes; great-grandchildren, River and Rider Mayo and Lyam Preston Stringer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Riley Hannon and Missouri Lou Ann Underwood Hannon; son, Ricky Dale Rhodes; husband, Howard Lamar Rhodes; 11 siblings.
