Mrs. Elizabeth Ray Ruff, age 91 of 133 Clairmont Rd., Union, widow of George S. Ruff, Jr., passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Heartland Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Ruff was born in Union, SC December 13, 1924, a daughter of the late Charles Long and Lena Effie Gallman Ray. She was a graduate of Union High School and was retired from Grace United Methodist Church Child Enrichment Program where she prepared the daily meals. Mrs. Ruff had formerly worked in the office of Fairforest Woodproducts and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Margie Ruff of the home; a son, George R. Ruff and wife Margarita of Alexandria, VA; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Mrs. Ruff was predeceased by a sister, Margaret K. Ray and a brother, Charles Long Ray, Jr.
