Johnny Pennington
Gaffney native
CHARLESTON– Johnny C. Pennington entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003.
Mr. Pennington was born in Gaffney on June 21, 1930, the son of Grover C. Pennington and Hattie Salmon Pennington. He was a field engineer with International Telephone Telegram and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Mariner Lodge No. 2 AFM, Charleston Amateur Radio Society and the Elks Lodge.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a brother, Eugene R. Pennington of Gaffney; two sisters, Mildred Clifton of Gaffney and Frances Putman of Palmdale, Calif.; two brothers-in-law, Cleatus Hunsinger of Shelby and Charles Hunsinger of Indian Beach, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held today at 6 p.m. at J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel. Friends may call at the chapel today from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Cleveland Memorial Park in Shelby on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 3 p.m.
