Funeral services for A.J. Tidwell of Haltom City will (sic) Saturday at 10 a.m. at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Weldon Harless and Marvin Russell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Born in the White Rock community on Jan. 17, 1922, to Robert Oscar and Rachel Bench Tidwell, he married Billie Jean Baker on Nov. 28, 1948. Mr. Tidwell was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Andrea "Andy" Wenger of Watauga; two brothers, Cecil Tidwell of Celeste and Luther Tidwell of Greenville; two sisters, Gladys Fitzgerald of Nashville, Tenn., and Irene Sharp of Dallas; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Newman Bench, George Bench, Johnny Barker, Charles Trotter, Charlie Wright and W.C. Nall.
