Mrs Lois Lee James, 78, of Higginsville, died Saturday, Oct. 28, in a hosptial at Clinton, MO. Mrs. James was born in Lawson and had lived in the Higginsville area since 1946.
She was a member of Southside Extension Club; a member of the Central Christian Church, and past president of its Christian Women's Fellowship.
Survivors include two sons, J.E. James of Tulsa, and Woodford James, Higginsville; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Allen, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Fern Werning, Winston, MO; three brothers, Raymond Hightower of Omaha, Robert Hightower, Rayville, and Glen Hightower, Johnstown, CO; two sisters, Mrs. Nina Mann, Hastings, NE, and Mrs. Lorena Ellf, of Keno, OR, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Tuesday at the church, with the burial in Christian Union cemetery at Lawson.
