Mr. Turner was born June 1, 1946 in Page County, and was the son of the late Herbert McKinley and Lena Rhinehart Turner. He grew up in Page County, and was a carpenter and heavy equipment operator for A.B. Torrence and Parham Construction before retiring. He enjoyed playing softball, coin collecting gardening and planting flowers. He was a NASCAR fan, and cherished times with his wife, children and grandchildren.
On February 4, 1972, he married the love of his life, Rosa ( Lam) Turner, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Dale Turner Jr. & wife, Sara Davis, Crimora; a daughter, Krista Dofflemyer, & husband, Steve Elkton; a grandson, raised in the home and like a son, Brendan Collins, grandchildren, Trinity Dofflemyer, Ty Turner, Lexi Turner. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Irene Cardin, Vada Good, Mae Good, Charlotte Hilliards, Ruby Davis, Janice Turner, Emmet Turner, Grant Turner, Floyd Turner, Glen Turner.
Pastor Briar Lam will conduct the funeral service 2pm Wednesday February 17, 2016 at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton. Burial will follow in the Elk Run Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6 to 8pm at the funeral home.
