Ida Elizabeth Hawkins Murphy, 85, of Lawrenceburg, widow of J.T. Murphy, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Anderson County to the late Logan and Ruby Kinder Hawkins and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Murphy is survived by four daughters; Daisy Snapp, Goldie "Pee Wee" Dennis, Blanche (Jack) Perry and Kathy Robertson, all of Lawrenceburg; five brothers, Millard Hawkins, Jerome Hawkins, Mann Hawkins, Jimmie Hawkins and Dennie (Bonnie) Hawkins, all of Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Geneva (Charles) Riley and Tillie Doss, both of Salvisa; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Hawkins and a sister, Betty Phillips.
No services were scheduled. Gash Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601.
