Jane Combs, daughter of the late Watson and Malvie Deaton Dodson, was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on Sunday, July 20, 1919 and she departed this life on Thursday, February 11, 2016 having attained the age of 96 years, 6 months and 22 days.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Oliver Combs, he preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, David (and Betty) Johnston of Jasper Bend, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Marcina (and George) Wagers, Reba (and Jeff) Hurst, Karen Mammoser, Megan Johnston, and Cameron Johnston; nine great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives who mourn her passing.
Other than her parents and husband, Jane was also preceded in death by; one daughter, Margaret Loretta Johnston; and three brothers, Sammy, O.D., and D. J. Dodson.
Jane was a homemaker, and a member and longstanding supporter of the Jasper bend Baptist Church. She was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
A funeral service for Mrs. Jane Combs will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Major Nolan officiating. Burial will follow in the Sloans Valley Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Jane Combs will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016.
