James "Jim" R. Rudolph, age 87, died peacefully at home on Thursday, February 11, 2016.

Jim played at a professional level the sports of baseball, basketball, and football. He was most proud of being the starting pitcher for Milwaukee Braves in the 1940's. Jim served 4 years in the Air Force during the late 40's and early 50's. He was an avid fisherman and President of Austin Bass Club in the 60's and 70's, winning many local and State tournaments. After retirement, he enjoyed tree trimming and woodworking.

Jim married the love of his life, Marjorie, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by a son, four grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Harrell Funeral Home in Austin, TX. Graveside services will follow at 12:00 Noon at Forest Oaks Memorial Park in Austin, TX.
