Steven H. Gentry, 64, formerly of Pocatello, passed away December 15, 2015 at his home in Billings Montana.
He enjoyed many things in life but his work was his passion. At a young age he began working at Simplot in Pocatello. He joined the union and worked his way to the President of Oil Chemical Atomic Workers local 2-632. In 1992 Steve started work with the (USW) United Steel Workers District 11-001 where he was a senior staff representative and worked until the time of his death.
He was a very generous person and had a great sense of humor.
He is survived by his children Stephanie (Alan) Stoddard, West Jordan, Utah, Rachell (Sage) Kendall, Emmett, Idaho, Ryan (Shalese) Gentry, Billings, Montana, five grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers.
Preceded in death by his son Samuel Gentry and parents Rozell and Betty Gentry.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to one of Steve's favorite charities UNICEF K.I.N.D fund.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held on February 20th, at the Portneuf Valley Brewing 615 S. 1st Ave, Pocatello. From 4-6 pm
