John Benjamin Cauley, Sr., age 84, of Pascagoula, MS, died Wednesday, February 10, 2016, and now rests in the arms of his Savior. Mr. Cauley was born April 8, 1931, in Pascagoula to James Ira and Hannah Krebs Cauley and had been a resident of Pascagoula the majority of his life. He was a graduate of Our Lady of Victories High School and retired from International Paper Company after 42 years of service. Mr. Cauley was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who considered his family his greatest accomplishment in life.

Mr. Cauley was preceded in death by his wife, Wilka Ros Cauley, his parents, Ira and Hannah Cauley, his brother, Marvin Cauley, and his sister, Dot Cauley Clark. Also preceding him in death were his sons Gary, Michael and Scott Cauley and his daughter, Martha "Didge" Cauley Brown.

He is survived by his children: Katherine Ory, Virginia (Gary) Broadus, and John Cauley, Jr., all of Pascagoula, and Tammy Williams and Wendy (Chris) Stone of Hudson, Florida: his brother James (Betty) Cauley of Grand Bay, AL, and his sister, Ethel Graham, of Kingsport, TN. Also surviving Paw Paw are 18 grandchildren and their respective spouses and 15 great-grandchildren which he considered his gift to the world, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 15, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Pascagoula, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Father Tony Arguelles will be the celebrant assisted by Deacon Mike Gilly and Deacon Billy Graham, Mr. Cauley's nephew. Pallbearers will be his grandsons Brian Weems, Timothy Weems, Gavin Weems, Dale Cauley, Jacob Cauley, and Richie Brown. Burial will follow in Macphelah Cemetery in Pascagoula.
