Antonio G. Garcia, born on December 11, 1922 in Asherton, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord, on February 7, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 93. Antonio proudly served in the Army Air Force as a gunner and radio operator in the Pacific Theater, with action in China, Archipelago, New Guinea and Okinawa. He joined the service in 1943 -1945 was honorably discharged and obtaining rack of corporal. He was awarded the Army Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theater Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the WW2 Victory Medal and the AAF Air Crew Medal badge. He was preceded in death by his brother Frank Garcia and parents Magina G. & Francisco Garcia. Antonio is survived by his loving brother and sisters; Carmen Perales, David Garcia, Odilia Gonzalez, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home Wednesday, February 17, 2016 after a 9:30 a.m. Chapel Service with Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
