Suffolk - Terry Stephen "Tom" Steele, 69, peacefully passed on to glory February 10, 2016 in his Suffolk, VA home, losing his battle with cancer. Born in Lewistown, PA, he was a survivor, a tough ol' cowboy who grabbed life by the horns, got up when he fell down and never gave up. He was a successful businessman and was able to travel the world acting as a trading liaison between foreign manufacturers and domestic buyers. An avid yachtsman, horseman, hunter and angler he was quite the stoic character of dignity, class, and humor. Tom cared deeply, for his family, with a giving heart.
He leaves behind his adoring wife of 48 years, Olga Hohol Steele; his esteemed son Jason H. Steele and his wife Brandy J. of Meridian, ID; loving daughter Kimberly S. Wright and husband Andy of Suffolk, VA; two sisters Gloria Daubert of Lewistown, PA, Barbara Hess of Lebanon, PA; and three wonderful grandsons Tommy J. Steele, Rowdy J. Steele, and Erik D. Wright; Countless beloved kin and friend.
Tom knew Jesus as his Savior and was excited to reunite in Heaven with his two predeceased grandsons Chadwick N. Wright and Adam S. Wright. Funeral services will be private. R.W. Baker & Co.
