Michael Maggio died Saturday, November 15, 2003. He was 88 years old. He was a World War II veteran and served for 30 years with the New York City Fire Department. He recently made his home in Lansing, KS.
Michael is survived by his son Robert and daughter-in-law Patti of Lansing, Kansas; his grandchildren Robert and Julie Maggio of Rockville, Maryland, Christopher and Rebecca Maggio of Liberty, Missouri, and Steven Maggio of Altamonte Springs, Florida. He is also surved by his great granddaughter Caroline Maggio of Rockville, Maryland. There will be a prayer service held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Davis Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, KS. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Francis de Sales Church, Lansing, KS. The Rev. Michael Stubbs will officiate. Following the funeral mass the body will be sent to the McCourt and Trudden Funeral Home in Farmingdale, NY for graveside service and burial on Friday, November 21, 2003 in the Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
