James "Jim" H. Shirrell, 93, of Wappapello died July 19, 2002, at the Puxico Nursing Center. He was born April 21, 1909, at Zalma, MO, son of Andrew and Francis Talley Shirrell. He and Lillie Davis were married March 11, 1995, at Wappapello.
Mr. Shirrell was a retired carpenter.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ted Shirrell of Ontario, Canada; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son.
Funeral will be Monday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, MO. The Rev. Ed Shirrell will officiate, with burial in Berrong Cemetery near Gipsy, MO.
