Roy was born in Brownville, Ala. and grew up in the Moore's Bridge community. He attended school at Mayfield and Tuscaloosa County High. He was a Korean War veteran and received a Korean Service Medal and a United Nations Service Medal. He served with Company A 5016th ABN Infantry Regiment. He retired from Russell Lee Floor and Tile after 40 years of service. He loved fishing and Alabama football. He also had a great passion for animals. He was very much loved by his family and will be greatly missed. Comfort comes knowing he was escorted from earth by angels.
