Jeanette May McFarland, 82, of Mansfield, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 at her home. She was born August 5, 1933, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late John and Blanche (Kauf) Smith.
Jeanette retired as the secretary for First Church of God and was a very devout Christian. She enjoyed reading her Bible and serving the Lord with a servant’s heart. She attended both First Church of God and Apostolic Faith Assembly churches throughout the years. Spending time with her family and showering her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with love and attention were her favorite activities.
She is survived by two children, Ronald (Carol) McFarland and Pamela (John) Witter; four grandchildren, Sieglinde (Mario) Ramirez, Megan Tucker, David (Bobbie) Witter and Melissa (Vic) Barnett; six great-grandchildren, Alexander Ramirez, Roman Ramirez, Jessica Witter, Rowan Tucker, Elliana Tucker and Liam Kasper; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, David McFarland in June 2011; two brothers; and four sisters.
A graveside service will be observed Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. in Mansfield Memorial Park with Pastor Robert O’Brian officiating.
