Louisa Flanagan Cosgrave.

Daughter of Alderman Michael Flanagan and Anne Flanagan, formerly Collins, of Portmahon House, South Circular Road, Rialto, Dublin.

Louisa Flanagan married William Thomas "Liam" Cosgrave on 24 June 1919, at St. Mary's Pro-Cathedral, Marlborough Street, Dublin.

He had been in prison, following the 1916 Easter Rising where he served in the South Dublin Union, for which he had been sentenced to death - later commuted to penal servitude for life.
He had been elected as Sinn Féin M.P. for Kilkenny North in a bye-election in 1917, and again at the 1918 General Election.
He was released in early 1919, and took his seat in the First Dáil, all Sinn Féin M.P.'s refusing to take their seats in Westminster.

She was a member of Cumann na mBhan.

Death.
Louisa Cosgrave, aged 77, married, a Housewife, died on 16 June 1959, at Beechpark, Templeogue.
The cause of death was Myocardial Infarction, Myocarditis, 8 months, certified.
Her death was registered on 14 August 1959, by Patrick Lyons, Inmate of House, of 4 Castleview House, Rathfarnham.
