George attended Waynesboro Church of Christ in Waynesboro, Va. He worked in distribution at a factory.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Diana Sue Brewer; and nephews, Jeremy Dunkley and Nicholas Dale Gillman.
Left to cherish many wonderful memories include his beloved wife, Sandra Lynn Gillman Brewer of Crimora, Va.; son, George Daniel Brewer Jr (Rebecca) of Stuarts Draft, Va; two grandchildren, Eva Catherine, and Nicolas George; daughters, Kassandra Ella Yvonne Brewer of Waynesboro, Va., and Mary Beth Brewer and Ryan Coffey of Crimora, Va.; two grandsons, Donald Meadows Brewer, and Dwayne Mitchell Brewer; brothers, Ronald Leslie Brewer Jr. (Jane) of Dover, Ohio, and David Lee Brewer (JoAnn) of Fayetteville, W.Va.; sisters, Virginia Leal Chambers (Leon) of Prosperity, W.Va., Virda Jean Crawford (Robert) of Beckley, W.Va., Nona Ella Phoebus (Donald) of Gallup, New Mexico, Teresa Carol Dunkley of Bradley, W.Va., and Vicki Lynn Meadows (Donald) of Columbia, S.C.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glen Allen Gillman (Patricia), Shelia Ann Gillman Berry (Buddy), Jean Gillman Shrewsbury (Craig), Randall Lee Gillman (Brenda), and William Dale Gillman (Carol); and special nieces and nephews, Ronald, Rhonda, Teddy, Amy, James, Sarah, Andrew, Becky, Mandy, Jon, Alicia, Renee, Amy, Brittany, Allen, Shane, Bonnie, Charles, and Adam.
Funeral services will be held at 12p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with William Dale "Bill" Gillman officiating. Burial will follow at the Gillman Family Cemetery, Waterplant Road, Fayetteville.The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home on Saturday.
