Her father was a Silk Merchant and House Furnisher.
His business was based at 11-12 Westmoreland Street, Dublin.


Younger sister of Professor Charles Hubert Oldham, Professor of Commerce and National Economics at the National University, Dublin.

She married Richard Best in 1904, in Dublin.

She was very active in the administration of the Feis Ceoil.
