Mr. Douglas Vance Frazier, age 73, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Thursday February 11, 2016 at the local hospital. Douglas was born June 29, 1942 in Old Fort, Tennessee, a son of the late Jesse Jewell and Luna Eloise Ingle Frazier. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Greeson and a brother, Harold Frazier. He was the retired owner of Kid’s World. He attended Valley Point High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Sharlene Frazier; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Terry Norris of Dalton, GA, Connie and Darrin Locke, DeAnna and Coy Parker, Joyce and Rusty Maddox all of Calhoun, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Angie Frazier of Sugar Valley, GA, Allen and Ginger Frazier of Dalton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Mary Kay Frazier of New Mexico; brother-in-law, Wilburn Greeson of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Patty, Matthew, Brandon, Brian, Tasha, Bethany, Baylee, Elijah, Corey, Chris, Jessica, Rebecca, Rosa, Ashley, Eric, Derek, Allison and Joceline; great-grandchildren, Layla, Trey, Seth, Emory, Maylee, Colin, Camden, Purity, Samuel, Isaac, Lexie, Christa, Jayden, Logan, Hannah, Jackson, Aero and Lilly; special family friend, Dari Lavender; care giver and special friend, Pami West; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Douglas Vance Frazier will be held Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Scott Parrish officiating. He will be laid to rest at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Garden. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Frazier, Matthew Norris, Brandon Parker, Brian Parker, Derek Patterson, Eric Patterson and Corey Frazier. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Saturday and after 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning until the service hour.
