Mrs. Chambers was born January 12, 1939 in Texarkana, Texas. She was retired from Total Petroleum and former office manager for Dr. Mark Prator and Dr. Paul Atkinson. She was a member of Hardy Memorial United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by her husband of sixty years: Rex Chambers of Texarkana, Texas; one daughter: Vickie Self of Texarkana, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law: Chuck and Kathy Chambers of Texarkana, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law: Joyce and Bob Bell of Texarkana, Texas; nine grandchildren, Robin and Brian, Delisa and Gary, Kelly and Marcus, Todd, Luke, and Garrett; twenty one great grandchildren; Brynnlee, Chad, Sierra and Luke, Taylor and Sam, Tyler and Kelsi, Drew and Lauren, Ryan and Krystal, Kade and Whitney, Elise and Bryan, Karsyn, Sophia, Kayla, Kolby and Macie; eleven great-great grandchildren; special family members, Ray and Pam Howell of Texarkana, Texas and a host of friends and other relatives.
A memorial service will be 10:00 A. M. Saturday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Lumpkin officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the funeral home.
