Bernice M. McDonald, 74, of Glen Jean, West Virginia entered the gates of Heaven on February 10, 2016 after battling Uveal Melanoma. Bernice was born Bernice Morgan on March 1, 1941 to Lymond Benjamin and Elydian Clydell (Muse) Morgan.

Bernice was educated in Thorpe, West Virginia where she was a cheerleader, avid reader, and an honors student. Bernice accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She began her professional career at the Board of Education in Maryland but moved to Bechtel Corporation where she worked as a Keypunch Operator. This career allowed her to travel throughout the United States and abroad including Abu Dhabi to train users on new software and mainframe computers. Bernice moved to Ocala in 1978 where she began working at Dayco Corporation in the Administrative Office until her retirement. Bernice traveled to the midwest often to train other plants on the computer system. Bernice's welcoming disposition and open door policy for anyone in the Plant made it easy for every to walk in to ask a question about their wages or tax withholding.

Bernice was faithfully in church and served as the Pastor's Secretary for many years at Shores Baptist until moving to First Baptist of Ocala. She enjoyed organizing social events, helping the elderly, sending out cards of encouragement, teaching and learning the Word of God, and her Bible Study Class.

Retirement allowed Bernice to do what she loved best which was traveling, visiting with her family and friends, working at the Election Polls, helping others with their taxes, and serve Jesus Christ in way she could.

She is survived by son, Jeffrey Peaks of Florida; daughter, Nichelle Peaks of New Jersey; sister, Sandra Morgan of Maryland; brother, Nathaniel Morgan of West Virginia; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and Grand-dog, Zeus.

She is predeceased by her Mother, Father, Brother Lymond Alexander Morgan, and a husband Harold Peaks.
