Elias S. Amador Sr., of North Hurley, NM passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Gila Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 26, 1927 in Rincon, NM to Adelina Soto and Alvino Amador. He retired from Kennecott after 36 years of service. He was a hard worker and a good provider and he valued his home and family. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Natalia Amador of the family home; one daughter, Barbara Torres (Joe) of North Hurley; five sons, Elias Amador Jr. (Olga) of Santa Clara; Frankie Amador (Carolyn) of North Hurley; Jerry Amador of North Hurley; Daniel Amador (Viola) of Albuquerque; and David Amador (Annette) of Hurley; twenty-four grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren;four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Alvino Amador (Adela) of Rincon, NM; three sisters, Carol Romero (Johnny) of Buckeye, AZ; Jenny Apodaca of Las Cruces; Helen Guaderama of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, John Paul Amador; two brothers, Guillermo Amador and Baldamar Amador; three sisters, Rosalia Villegas, Alicia Salcido and Lucy Leza; mother-in-law, Rosa Padilla. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 22 from 10:30-11am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the prayer vigil and holy rosary to begin at 11am with Deacon Bill Holguin reciting. The funeral liturgy will follow at 12:30pm at Infant Jesus Shrine with Father Roberto Barreto officiating. Concluding services interment will follow at Hurley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Francine Amador-Garrett, Jason Castillo, Gerald Polk, Isaac Castillo, Jerry Amador Jr., David Amador Jr. and John Paul Amador Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Jasmine Castillo, Christopher Amador, Valerie Amador, Pamela Sifuentes, Ashley, Isaiah, and Derek Amador, Sal Legarda, Stephanie Legarda, Romi Lucero, Jenny Estrada, Francine Artiaga and Edward Rodriguez.
