She was the mother of the late Thomas Murray, grandmother of the late James Byrne and sister of the late George, Richard and Russell Higgins.
Virginia was raised in Lynn, attended St. Mary's Grammar School and graduated from St. Mary's High School. She worked as an assembler at the General Electric, West Lynn, Riverworks Plant with over 32 years of service. She was a member of IUE-CWA Local 201 and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Parish, Lynn.
Survived by her husband; her daughter Kathleen Byrne and her husband Patrick of Lynn; her grandchildren Tracy Rock, Derek Murray and Shayna Dahl; her five great-grandchildren.
Also survived by her brothers James Higgins, David Higgins and his wife Barbara and Paul Higgins and his wife Maureen all of Lynn; her sisters Sally DiPrisco and her husband Francis of Danvers, Ellen Dulavitz of Peabody and Nancy Amidon of Rowley and many nieces and nephews.
Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn.
