John L. Yancey, aged 49, well known throughout Georgia, died last night and was buried in the city cemetery here this afternoon. Rev. D. W. Brannen, pastor of the Presbyterian church, conducting the funeral ceremonies. He leaves a wife,
two brothers, Dr. Ben Yancey, of Pensacola, and Sidney Yancey, of Covington, and one sister, Mrs. Rufus Pritchard, of Atlanta.

John L. Yancey was born on August 20, 1875, in Georgia. He married Frances (Fannie) Mae Myrick on August 2, 1905, in Baldwin County, Georgia. He died on December 20, 1910, in Baldwin County, Georgia, at the age of 35, and was buried in Milledgeville, Georgia.
